My Bloody Valentine (1981)

Oh so early, early 80s. And Canadian. The accents scream when the characters get flustered.
Priceless.

One of my favorite slasher flicks. Saw this one in the theater during release. Glad they finally released an uncut DVD.

Cold Storage '06.
Who says romance has to be dead just because she is?

Bloodlust '61
Entertaining schlock reworking of The Most Dangerous Game. Robert Reed stars.

Tombs Of The Blind Dead (1971)

Could really have used some character development. The schoolgirl days of the lead females is touched on but goes no further. The lead male is a blank.

And where these zombies got horses 2 seconds after coming out of the grave, I'll never know.

Still, very atmospheric and very nicely shot.

You don't watch the Blind Dead series for logic and character development...just sayin'

I have the Blind Dead box set:

Oh, I know you don't watch it for character development, but they started with a background on the women and then just- nothing.

How is the rest of the series? I am going to check them out.
And is it coming to Blu Ray?

The second one is an excellent sequel(Return Of The Blind Dead), the third is the weakest but still fun. The fourth- Night of the Seagulls is really good.

Haven't heard anything about Blu Ray yet.

The Beyond (1981)

Well done, but I wasn't as enthralled as everyone else seems to be with this Fulci film.

I had a much better time with City Of The Living Dead.

Deep Red (1975)

Very well done. Long and slow at times but original and not obvious.
The thing that drove me a little bananas was that the film switched from English to Italian (w/subtitles) seemingly randomly.
