The Darwin Awards are a tongue-in-cheek honor, originating in Usenet newsgroup discussions circa 1985. They recognize individuals who have supposedly contributed to human evolution by self-selecting themselves out of the gene pool via death or sterilization by their own actions.

Thanks for the heads-up. I thought it applied to anyone who did something stoopid.

Probably is brain dead from smoking so much crack. This kinda behavior is expected from uneducated crazies.

I remembered when this story first appeared on the news after the night of the fires, a man found shot dead in a burning car near the same apartments where Mike Brown was killed. Little by little they kept adding more to the story, He was from University City,he had a job, he had a bunch of 20 dollar bills on him, people that knew him said he was clean-cut. Then they mentioned he was a witness to the grand jury and the story seems to have been dropped.

An unsung Hero.
After a Hood sets a store on fire a girl sneaks in and puts out the flame with a carton of milk.

After the non indictment in the Eric Garner case, I am seriously giving second thought to the Michael Brown situation. In Eric Garner's case, we've got a video that clearly shows a man being MURDERED. He had his hands up and he was a threat to nobody. It is sickening that the NYC cops were not indicted. Now, they happened to have a video. Even the medical examiner determined it to be a homicide.
So who am I to say that Michael Brown really didn't have his hands up? Maybe he did. Unfortunately, there is no video evidence.
With Trayvon Martin, Jordin Davis, Michael Brown and now Eric Garner, it's no wonder that the average black man would be suspicious of racism.

I always thought he had his hands up.

I remember when they broke into regular programming with that story, everyone they talked to said he was surrendering. When it came time to round up all that witnessed it all those people were "UNRELIABLE" but they kept searching until they found a couple that said he didn't have his hands up, those people were reliable they said. What about the two white construction workers that said he started to run until the cop fired his gun and then turned around with his hands in the air and said "OK..OK " then Wilson continued to shoot him? Are those two construction workers unreliable too?

Too bad there's not video evidence, but now I know it wouldn't even matter. We could see a video of Michael Brown with his hands up and it wouldn't make a difference. Look at Eric Garner's video. He was actually MURDERED on video, and there's no indictments? We are living in a police state and it's scary.
As for the "witnesses" regarding Michael Brown.... maybe they didn't see the moment when Brown DID have his hands up. I now am starting to believe that Brown was executed.

I read somewhere that the cops in New York say there were 28 cops/doctors and 22 civilians that witnessed Garner's death. I thought there were more civilians than cops on the scene when I watched that video.

That video is so disturbing and sickening. It truly made me cry. To see a non violent man being taken down by a bunch of over zealous cops, to see those cops bashing his head into the pavement and squeezing his skull... to hear Eric Garner say "I can't breath" ELEVEN TIMES is so heartbreaking. What really got me was when his mother said "I will never see my son again." OMG, I was crying like a baby.
What happened to Eric Garner is a total travesty. Anyone with EYES can see that.

I think I will jump on a sailboat head for a deserted island. Anyone wanna go with me? There are many uninhabited ones in Fiji. AND, I have a book that teaches how to live off of the land. Be just like Castaway. I'll even bring along a VollyBall.
