She is one of my favorite singers of all time. May she rest in peace now. God bless her for giving us such timeless music and movies. Many condolences to her family and friends.

Brad, I moved this as it's much more than a music story. I am in total shock. What a heartbreak this news is. The first time I ever heard Whitney sing on tv, it was, "Saving All My Love (for you". My husband and I said, almost at the same time, that this singer was going to be a superstar.

She was gorgeous. Her beauty was surpassed only by her enormous talent. It was sad to witness her downfall. Having lost two sisters to substance abuse, these stories hit home hard for me. My first sister passed away the day after Superbowl Sunday in 1991, when Whitney sang the National Anthem. Whenever I see footage of Whitney singing it with her white headband, it brings it all back.

I feel so bad for her young daughter, Bobbi Kristina. She's only 19. It's never a good time to lose our mothers, but entering adulthood with serious relationships, then marriage and babies on the horizon; just seems like an especially cruel time. Prayers for Whitney's soul and for her loved ones. She had the voice of an angel.

Like my mother said, "What a waste". I just hope Whitney is at peace right now. Her early albums were part of the soundtrack of my childhood.

I can't say that I was a fan (not really into that music), but it's sad when someone dies young.

I didn't expect it.

She was a real icon and I believe her legacy will continue to live on for decades. Her talent was truly unparalleled.

Dionne Warwick became a naturalised citizen of Brazil, and this is the price my grandson Jim had to pay for opposing Brazil's 2016 bid and supported Chicago's?

Without a doubt, this is my favorite Whitney Houston song.

Rest in Peace, Whitney.

I'm sorry to hear about her passing though sadly I wasn't surprised. Whitney lead a very troubled life and her marriage to the even more troubled Bobby Brown didn't make things better. I was not a fan of Whitney's music by any means but I am very sorry that she died so young.
