I wonder if anyone has thought of adding "reputation" buttons, whereby if you like a post by someone you can 'add' to their reputation by clicking on a button and commenting. Little by little the reputation grows. I don't care about my own rep, but sometimes I'd just like to quickly register my agreement with sentiments of someone else, and I've seen this type of thing work pretty well on some other forums.

It's an option that is available, but we've never had it turned on. I'm not sure how popular a feature it would be on here.
