I'm also waiting to hear more about "Evening Shade." It's one I really want to get.

The Promised Land complete series is finally coming out by VEI "soon". This is from tvshowsondvd.com. This gives me hope that Evening Shade (announced at the time of "The Promised Land") will come out this year as well.

Looks like the "Evening Shade" set has been scrapped.

I wouldn't say that. It's probably still coming, but VEI is being super slow about releasing it. With shows from that list coming out now, I'd say sooner rather than later. We'll see.

The only TV show issued by VEI that I have any interest in is the complete series of Cannon. And I'm glad I bought the original release, the 31 disc set, instead of the cheapened down reissue set that has only 20 discs. The 31 disc set is a lot better.

No restoration work done on the Cannon episodes but at least the episodes seem to be complete and uncut which is the main thing. Disc 3 of season 4 had a problem with one of the episodes, but VEI corrected it and sent me a replacement disc so I'll give them credit for that. VEI did screw up a couple other things too on the Cannon set but those screw ups are minor.

I also wish they would have included part 2 of the Deadly Conspiracy episode on the Cannon set, but it's only on the Barnaby Jones set. I'm not happy about that but it's not a big deal.
