I didn't like the theme to the Ropers very much. It was a bland instrumental. I loved the ABC version to Matlock. I thought that it was spot on vaudeville/ragtime sounding.

The theme to the show "Hangtime" wasn't all that to me IMO.

Malcolm in The Middle, Roseanne (like the show, though), Soap. ComedyGuy, I'm with you on Phyllis. I saw the intro a few years ago on YouTube and it took me a long time to get the theme song out of my head. I must avoid it so I don't relapse.
To each their own because some of the themes mentioned here I have no problems with.

The 1968-69 version of the Dragnet '60s theme. I don't think bongos belong in the tune. The next season's arrangement was an improvement.

I'd have to go with "Life with Lucy".

A truly terrible theme song for the remarkable failure it all turned out to be.

Definitely The Facts of Life (not just the song, but the show as well).

I don't like Maude's theme song. It's hideous.

The Good Times theme gets on my nerves with all it's sarcasm (Temporary layoffs GOOD TIMES! *rolls eyes*) But, I love the music to it.

One that I hate though. Is the Charles In Charge theme. So much embarrassment.

Wasn't The Rockford Files theme also released as a single in the '70's?

Eight is enough had a pretty awful theme song complete with cheesy lyrics from what I remember.

I've been watching Blossom on the Hub lately. I forgot how stupid that theme song was. In fact I find myself cringing during the entire opening.

Jeez, some of you guys are pretty harsh on these theme songs!!! Laverne & Shirley AND Maude!? HA!!!

Hot in Cleveland, without dispute, deserves to win this contest...

I also have to agree with the people who said:

*Two & a Half Men
*Malcolm in the Middle (loved the show)
*Charles in Charge
*Friends.

I couldn't stand the theme songs to the following shows either:

*Leave It to Beaver (though I like the instrumental from Season 6)

*The Twilight Zone (hated the original theme, love the main/infamous theme)

*Amos and Andy

*Boy Meets World (every version of theme just seemed very bland and anti-climatic. Not a bad show though)

Everybody Hates Chris' theme song (also love this show) was kind of annoying too.
