abe vigoda is my grandmothers brothers son. the last time we actually spent time with him as a family gathering was sept 1974 in brooklyn at my grndmothers house when i was a teenager. his mothers name is lena vigoda she was my grandmothers sister in law who was very close with my grandmother. mike douglass wanted her and abe on his talk show in 1975 but she chose to phone in. she died in 1984 in brooklyn. his father name was shmullock he passed away in 1965. abes brother bill was a famed comic book writer he also died in the early 70s. abe has one other brother hymi who is a twin of abe. dont know if he is still alive. i have a copy of abes barmitvah picture that my aunt gave me if anyone is interested. i am hoping someone has fish episodes from 1977

How interesting!! I know what a fine character actor Abe Vigoda is and how accomplished, as witnessed by the many parts he has had. I bet he had some fascinating stories to tell. If you're up to it, it'd be so cool to hear about a few of them.

Thanks for your great thread!!!

He's been making on speaking appearances on Late Night With Conan O'brien, he looks great for his age.
