Cool One of the planes from RIPCORD is still operational

Last week I received my copies of the TV Series Ripcord from the Big River. While I was watching an episode I noticed the plane's FAA License (N9436X) so I took the Liberty of "Googling" this number and I found out this plane is still operational! The article I read also stated the plane (A Cessina 210), is not for sale.

I can't woner how many times the owner of this plane has an Aviation buff descend upon him and offer him TOP DOLLAR for the plane. (C'mon, with this money you could buy yourself a brand new Cessina and have enough left to get a brand new 747!)

That plane has to be close to 60 years old. I don't think I would care to go up in it.

I wonder if the owner has a copy of the song "Beat Up Old Jetliner" (A parody of the Steve Miller Band's Big Ol Jet Airliner) bu Bob Rivers

"Beat Up Old Jetliner" Lyrics

Goodby to all the friends I've known and the Travel Agent I trusted

I'm flying along in this beat up old plane look out the window all the rivets are rusted

As that ground crew pushes us backwards on that rickety L 1011

I'm feelin around for that floatation device and when the safety film is showing I'm payin close attention

Beat Up old Jetliner, Don't carry me too far away

Beat Up Old Jetliner, did they sneak you past the FAA

Bouncing around in a Thundercloud, Landing Gear won't come down

My seat is up and my belt is on I see the Fire Crew spraying foam on the ground

and if I get to my final destination, I know my next flight will surely be free

But I - Don't - Think - I'll - Go - Back- Up on to that Piece of Sht just to save a few pennies

Beat up old Jetliner, don't carry me too far away

Give me a fresh Airliner I don't care what I have to pay

"Ladies and Gentlemen This is your Captain Speaking. I just turned off the No Smoking Sign, I figure Hll if the plane is smoking why shouldn't you".

Do you remember back in the 80s when those passenger planes were falling apart and they said it was metal fatigue? They said the planes were just too old even with all new parts. I think those pilots that fly those vintage WWII planes at the airshows have some hard bark on them.
