Henry Higgins books
Charlotte's Web
Little House on The Prairie Books
Little Golden Books
Curious George Books
B is for Betsy and the other Betsy's books.
The Cathy series and the Chris series by Catherine Woolley.
The 3 Bears
Cinderella.

My absolute favorite was "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein. It still holds up as an awesome book. I also loved "Harold and the Purple Crayon."

Other favorite include: The Berenstein Bears series, Goosebumps series, and the Babysitters Club series.

i used to love little golden books too. i had a lot of the disney titles in them like cinderella and snow white and i had one called 'a visit from grandma and grandpa' that i liked, i think cause the girl character looked like me when i was little. i also liked a similar series called 'little elf books' or maybe it was 'junior elf books'. anyone remember these? they were kind of small and had lots of titles. one of my favorites was 'twas the night before xmas. i loved the illustrations they used for that story. i remember a few chapter books i read too. one was called 'bunnicula', it was about a cat and dog who thought the new pet bunny was a vampire. it was a cute story. then there was 'witches' by roald dahl. my 3rd grade teacher read it out loud to us complete with voices. it was the only book that ever scared me. and another one was 'you shouldn't have to say goodbye' about a girl who's mom is dieing of cancer. she ends up dieing on xmas day. it was pretty heavy reading for the targeted age range (9-12 yrs )

Babysitter's Club! Total obsession. I sat down at work and started reading one once...doesn't have the same appeal anymore. lol

Wayside School books

I had tons of Dr. Seuss. I had "I Wish That I Had Duck Feet" memorized.

These just came out, but I get a kick out of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. The kids at school love them too.

On the other hand, I hate Junie B. Jones books. I think they are horrible, but the first and second graders eat them up.
