manufacture-on-demand (MOD) program does that mean DVD Rubbish or as we Know DVD R . This is something that plays up on most DVD players due to fingerprints, dust, slight markings or Bad reading on Single Layer Disc.

Isn't it a little odd that these are being released prior to seasons 3-7?

Finally got my copy of the 2 Growing Pains TV-movies on DVD yesterday!
They both look great! And I love that they kept the classic "Growing Pains" logo for the packaging- it fits nicely with the Season 1 and Season 2 DVD sets. And I hope that with enough fans getting this, Warner Brothers will be convinced to keep moving along with Seasons 3-7. I don't know if this has come up before, but I still wonder some about the transition from the first to the second one. Though I like both of the TV-movies, there is definitely a different tone in the second one- it seems to be much more on the comedic side (which is good because it's based on a sitcom) but goes almost over the top and though it has some serious moments, it's an interesting mix. Anyway- I'm wondering if "Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers" is best considered as an alternate take on the "What Are They Doing Now?" story after the conclusion of "Growing Pains". (i.e. I get the impression that the 2nd. TV-movie doesn't really incorporate the events of the first.) In "The Growing Pains Movie", Carol marries Scott Coffer, who has a son, Jack. In "Growing Pains: Return of the Seavers", Carol is married and is expecting a child- but I'm pretty sure she and her husband say the child's name is Seaver Malone Johnson. So my question is- why is the last name now Johnson? Is her husband here (I can't remember if she calls him by first name during the TV-movie or not) supposed to be Scott Coffer as portrayed by another actor? And apparently Jack just didn't show up? Since the TV-movies seem to be set in real-time, I would hate to think that Scott died or something or that Carol and Scott got divorced in 4 years time and then she wound up marrying another guy and getting pregnant. I suppose the best explanation is that there is no good explanation and just accept the TV-movies as alternate takes on how the Seavers' lives turned out after the conclusion of the series. Oh well- I know the series itself was self-referential at times and the 2nd. TV-movie was pretty well over the top being self-referential - like Jason asking Mike if he didn't get anything out of 166 episodes, etc. Oh well- I love both regardless- and I love how the theme song was incorporated in both of them. The ending scene for the second one was really perfect. ![]() |

the first reunion movie was excellent picked up right in line where the series left off.however the second one was just fair hated the whole moving thing and
the stupid pictures from those eighties teen magazines kirk cameron was on,the whole idea of that second movie was a bit cheesy,i love those characters to death and it was great to see them all together in both movies but the story in the second could have been better. |
