That's one of my favorite Lost Loves segments too. The part which really makes you well up in it, is when they sing Silent Night, Holy Night at the mother's/Edith's funeral, and when one of the sons says how hearing that song around Christmas time would always get him so depressed as a result. Interesting how Lifetime cut that particular part out, in order to make room for the update though.

Sooo sad, especially when one of the children (now a grown man) says when he saw his father's grave all of his pain and hatred from the abuse went away....he wished he could tell his father he was sorry for how things happened and hoped his father would say sorry as well (sorry man, you shouldn't be sorry, you were a child, he was an abusive adult, but I get it). OMG, segments like that and wine do not mix...welling up again.

The segment also bothers me because that POS father needs a beating. Buddy, you want to beat on your wife and kids? I'm coming for you.

I know really! While I commend the son for forgiving his father, while leaving behind the understandable hatred he had towards him, the bottom like was that the dad did cause much harm to his wife, and children, and was probably the reason why his wife/their mother killed herself. That and how he was obviously in no position to care for his children, and made no effort to better their lives, and seemed to only know how to cause pain, and misery not just to them, but for who he murdered during one of his many drunken rages as well.

Same. I get teary eyed every single time I see that part.

The Laura Lee Burbank segment is also one I have to skip because it makes me cry. To lure a child using cute little pets....that's just awful. I mean doing anything to children is awful, but to trick a little girl that way really upsets me. It just really bothers me. I can't watch it. And sadly I know why people take the law into their own hands. If someone did that sh1t to my 10 year old niece, they'd have to move out of the country and hide...not from the police, but from me.

There's a part in the Michael Rosenblum segment that really breaks my heart. I can't remember the exact wording, but Maurice Rosenblum is talking about the days just after his son's disappearance, remembering that he thought "maybe I could find him and do something for him". Then he says, "But it was too late. Too late. It was just too late." The resignation and sadness is so heavy in his voice.

The Jordan family arson. Just the thought of those poor kids suffering in that room unable to get out chokes me up. This crime was the epitome of cruelty.

What also hurts about that case is the fact that the day Laura was to meet up with Fisher on the day she was killed, she hadn't originally planned on going alone. But her sister ended up being sick and her best friend was unavailable.

It makes me play the what if game. What if they both ended up being able to accompany her after all? Even though they were young girls, it's harder to subdue three as opposed to one. Would he have tried to kill all three? Would he have had to scrap his plans and think of a later time he could try and get Laura alone?

One segment that's started tugging on my heart strings with repeated viewings here is the one about Annette Burnside

http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Jim_Burnside

The acting/music/production........makes it incredibly heartbreaking

Several

Delia Franzini Goldie just broke me. The entire thing. It has one of the best updates ever though. And its so very British!

Rose Hoffman pleading for her son to return.

The missing autistic son. The fact that he hasn't been found is heartbreaking.

There's another its like this woman found her sister and she needed a kidney. Unfortunately despite the reunion she passed away because the sister was not a match.

At least we can take some solace that the mastermind is burning in Hell as we speak. It still won't bring the poor children back.
Two of the sickos involved got greased in the end, one of them hasn't been solved yet.

Karma does exist.

Joseph Schambier bring me to tears. All that time looking for his daughter only to find out she was long dead (and the manner she died on top of that).

Wow, and never knew that was the case until now! That's also another great, and personal favorite of mine's Lost Loves segments too (which was also another very rarely shown episode), and so sad how he never got to meet his long lost daughter! At least he was content with knowing the search for her was resolved, as tragic as her death was, and all!
