Hyperion announced that it will publish a new memoir by activist/author/That Girl actress Marlo Thomas. The book, entitled Growing Up Laughing, is scheduled to hit book stores in September 2010. It will chronicle Thomas’ recollections of her star-studded childhood (her father was actor/comedian Danny Thomas) and her conversations with today’s comedians about how they “found the funny” in their lives. Those comedians include Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, Tina Fey, Robin Williams, Jay Leno, Joan Rivers, and others. Thomas is the author of five bestselling books, including the classic, Free to Be…You and Me.
