Music Nicki Minaj Dethrones Aretha Franklin as Female Artist w/ Most Billboard Hot 100 Hits

Nicki Minaj Has More Billboard Hot 100 Hits Than Any Other Female Artist
by Jami Ganz
March 20, 2017

Nicki Minaj now has more songs on the Billboard Hot 100 than any other female artist. She takes the title from Aretha Franklin, who she was previously tied with as of March 18, when they both had 73 entries each.

Thanks to Minaj dropping the Drake and Lil Wayne collaboration 'No Frauds', 'Regret in Your Tears', and 'Changed It' (also featuring Lil Wayne) ó which came in at No. 14, 61, and 71, respectively ó Minajís ranking went up to 76 entries and the torch has been passed accordingly.

Franklinís reign on the ranking (which debuted Aug. 4, 1958) lasted from June 18, 1977 until March 11, 2017, when she and Minaj first tied. Though Franklin has top billing on every one of her entries, Minaj has top billing on 32 of her entries and is featured on the remaining 44.

Feb. 20, 2010 marked Minajís debut on the chart: She was a featured artist on Lil Wayneís 'Knockout', which peaked at No. 44. 'Your Love' was her first entry with lead billing, and she peaked at No. 14 in August of the same year. 'Anaconda' leads her 13 top 10 hits, having reached the No. 2 spot.

Nicki Minaj has made a huge name for herself and has become hugely popular in the R&B and Rap music industry and ever since her debut album Pink Friday came out little did they know how popular Nicki Minaj would become in music and before releasing her album she was featured in songs by artists such as Keyshia Cole and Christina Aguilera and that really helped with her popularity. I got interested in Nicki Minaj when her song Your Love came out and then I bought the album Pink Friday just to see what the hype was about and I liked Nicki Minaj's sound. But I think her popularity blossomed when her second album Pink Friday Roman's Revenge came out because not only was it successful but it made a huge impact not only for fans but for Nicki Minaj herself as she released a fragrance also named Pink Friday but launched a clothing line and jewelry line for teen girls that was sold exclusively at Kmart and now with this milestone achieved in the music world it proves that Nicki Minaj will become the bestselling female rap artist in history

I totally agree. That pretty much sums it up tlc38tlc38. Aretha Franklin has more talent and class in her pinky finger than Nicki Minaj will ever have in her entire life! What passes for music these days is disgusting garbage. Nicki Minaj is nothing but an arrogant, hateful, no talent b*tch. I'll never understand her popularity and I wouldn't subject a dog to listening to her worthless crap.
