Today it is beastly hot here in NYC. And we had our comany outing today. Yikes - bec. of the weather. I am not a great one for heat and tend to "wither" easily. (Phooey on summer - I can hardly wait for fall)

Hot...again. With heat advisories posted almost daily now.

Between the heat and the ridiculous amounts of rain, I am SO tired of this wretched summer.

Bring on the fall!

Record flooding (again!) here, with more forecast. Areas up north had up to eight (yes, EIGHT!) inches of rain within a few hours. Some people cannot return to their homes due to sinkholes being formed and many had to be rescued from high flood waters.

I'm officially out of jokes about arks and water wings...please, Merciful Heaven...STOP!

We've been on what feels like a month-long heatwave. Sticky, humid, horrible. The AC on our car is on the fritz. Right now, we're trying to decide if we want to spend the $500+ to get it fixed or buy a new car. It's paid for, and I hate taking on a new bill. The brakes just went on the car the other day, when my husband was in it. It was a miracle because it happened right near the mechanic's shop. I can't even think of what would have happened if he was on the highway or another busier road. Like Gilda Radner said, "It's always something!.
