"Don't you Forget about me" by Simple Minds for Robert Stack. I don't think anyone has brought that up yet. I won't forget him.

I have come up with another idea: "Shoot Me Again," by Metallica; for UM, in part because critics have taken cheap shots at UM to no avail. Another reason is due to the fact that the series has been shot down by network executives, only to keep coming back. So in general, it has all to do with the show's ability to be durable despite the opposition.

I think the following lyrics best sum it up:

Shoot me again
I ain't dead yet

All the shots I take
what difference did I make?
All the shots I take
I spit back at you

I won't go away, with a bullet in my back
Right here I'll stay, with a bullet in my back

So true!

The two things that will survive nuclear war: cockroaches and UM!

I don't know how I missed this one before (for one of my FAVORITE people):

For Liz Carmichael, inventor of the "Dale". . .

"Man I Feel Like a Woman" by Shania Twain.

Had to bump this 'cause I'm a music lover and obviously a UM lover. Alot of ones I was thinking of were mentioned, but here's some more. Many of these are 80s (since that's what I listen to the most) but it kinda fits since that's when lots of the cases were from, or not long afterwards.

Little Lies (Fleetwood Mac) - The Maples
You Give Love a Bad Name (Bon Jovi) - Mark Nichols, Paul Pollis, Chad Noe and their ilk
Sailing (Christopher Cross) - Woody Kelly
Private Eyes (Hall and Oates) - Curtis Croft
You Can Do Magic (America) - any miracle workers like Rainboy
Beat It (MJ) - Ron Gillispie to the Circleville letter writer
Spooky (Classics IV) - the guy Alan's young wife in Florida who was supposedly possessed by a ghost
Material Girl (Madonna) - Liza Montgomery
We Didn't Start The Fire (Billy Joel) - Johnny Lee Wilson
End of The Road (Boyz II Men) - Edward Harold Bell in the initial chase
Don't You Want Me (Human League) - Rick Church
Don't Come Around Here No More (Tom Petty) - The Wackers to the kooks
Money's Too Tight To Mention (Simply Red) - Roger Dean
Nightshift (The Commodores) - any night clerks like Debra Poe
I Wanna Know What Love is (Foreigner) - Missy Munday

I'll think of some more later.

Any "Wanted" cases. Breaking the Law by Judas Priest. Sure it has probably been mentioned. Just too lazy to look for that post

For murdered children "Only the good die young" by Billy Joel

For the survivors of any disaster "Faith" by George Michael

Kevin Poulsen, who is So Much Cooler Online, now that he's using his mad hacker skillz to keep the interwebs safer. (Brad Paisley)

To the coworkers who loved her no matter what, Liz Carmichael was the Devil With a Blue Dress On (Mitch Ryder etc)

Hey, CRYSTALDAWN, I know we have a ban on links to "you know where", but are we allowed to link the VEVO channels there? Those are the artist's official channels and are not pirated or iffy/illegal copywrited content.

------------------------------

Some of my choices might seem unusual. I mean no disrespect, either by inclusion or omission.

For all the choir members who survived the exploding church - Amazing Grace (I'm partial to that homewrecker Leann Rimes' version lol)

Dale Kerstetter, Devin Williams, Su Taraskiewicz, Dave Bocks, Jesslyn Rich, Michael Francke, Robert Hamrick, Dwayne McCorkendale- 40 Hour Week For A Livin (Alabama)

Resurrection Mary, the original Ghost Ride girl (Mistah FAB)

Michael Carmichael, Justin Burgwinkel, Bill Ray Hargrove, Charlie Anderson, Chad Langford, Jeffrey Digman, Michael O'Mara, I'm Proud To Be An American - (Lee Greenwood)

Kevin Poulson, White and Nerdy (Weird Al)

Cindy James, Don't Let Me Get Me (Pink)

Circleville Writer Suspicious Minds (Elvis)

The "Countess" and Marie Hilley, Killer Queen (Queen)

Tim McClure, cuz every girl's crazy about a Sharp Dressed Man (ZZ Top)

The hotness that is Robert Stack needs his own dirty song, cuz he's a sweet talkin, sugar coated, Candyman lol (Christina Aguilera)

A good sound track for the segments of Glenn Nash and Margo Freshwater, Craig Pritchert and Nova Guthrie, Rose Turford and Carolyn Stevens (Thelma & Louise bandits), and the Tunnel Bank Robbers, could be Take the Money and Run (Steve Miller Band)
