Groundhog Day 2018: Punxsutawney Phil spots shadow and forecasts six more weeks of winter. ... The groundhog crawled out of his hole to issue his prediction just before 7:25 a.m. as the sun rose at Gobbler's Knob in Punxsutawney, Pa. How he managed to see his shadow with clouds blocking the sun is a bit of a mystery.8 hours ago

Sorry for you guys in cold climates! I wish out here we would get some more winter type weather. Hoping you guys warm up and old Phil means Southern California will have more winter !

I like Groundhog Day, not because of the groundhog, but for the reason that the calendar has flipped to February, which means that March is a month away, the month when spring begins. While I look forward to spring and warmer weather , I don't look forward to severe storms with a tornado risk . But I can't do anything about the weather except hope that nothing bad happens.

Remember kids, if you are checking your groundhog for a shadow and he bites you it means six more rounds of rabies shots
