After doing Buck Rogers in the 24th Century Erin Grey refused to do sci fi due to not liking the genre.

Suzanne Somers and Farrah Fawcett. They both shot to big fame fast, and then got a little too big for their britches (IMO) and left their shows.

She must not hate it too much as I've seen her in scifi projects including the 90's scifi flick T-Force. And more recently in the Star Trek fan series Star Trek: Continues playing a character named Commodore Gray.

I don't think the OP is assuming you or anyone know this from personal experience. We can all read interviews and make our own judgments on who is bitter, however.

Farrah Fawcett's jerk of a husband Lee Majors forced her to leave Charlie's Angels.

Suzanne got a little too big for her britches but it wasn't her decision to leave the show. She was fired and then blackballed for most of the 80's. I don't think she's bitter about the show...just the way she left.

Yeah, I never got the feeling she was bitter in her interviews. Same with Farrah; I don't believe I've ever seen her trash CA or anyone on the show.

She also appeared briefly in the first episode of the Mystery Science Theater 3000 reboot.

Christopher Eccleston played the Doctor in Doctor Who for just one series in 2005. He says he left due to show politics, refused to return for the show's 50th anniversary when asked, and doesn't participate in any show related projects. Some speculate he left because he didn't want to be typecast, he's known in the UK for doing indie movies and gritty drama.

  • Elizabeth Montgomery would stare down anyone who asked her to wiggle her nose. Whereas Barbara Eden was always happy to cross arms and shut her eyes.

Jane Curtain didn't speak well of SNL for years. The women were treated so horribly back when it first started.

Milton Berle was bitter to his dying day for agreeing to the clause in his NBC contract that prevented him from ever having a future show on a competing network.

Jim Backus got nothing in residuals from Gilligan's Island, and was notoriously bitter about it.

Farrah left CA because her husband; Lee Majors wanted her to.

I don't blame Jane. Looking back on the first 5 years now, it looks bad and dated. SNL was never female friendly.

One can say that just about anything decades old is "dated". And of course, a show that did a lot of current topical comedy is going to be more susceptible to this because of its nature.

Actually, Fawcett left on her own accord because she felt that the story lines were becoming too hokey.
