The music replacement doesn't bother me that much. I first started watching WKRP back in 2001 on TNN and most of the original music had already been replaced so I'm use to it. I understand why a lot of people are upset though. What bothers me are the cuts. Looking at that list, it seems like 1/3 of the episodes are missing scenes/lines.

I will wait for the DVD to go on sale or for a used copy to show up. Too bad about all the music cuts, a reissue company should have been in charge of this instead. I bet Fox didn't try for music clearances, they just cut corners. The cover art is good, I'll have to nick it for when I put episodes I have on tape onto DVD.

I don't mind having the replaced music, in fact, I'm used to watching WKRP with the generic music in it anyway. I will be buying season 1 when it comes out and hopefully, the other three seasons will be released quickly.

As far as I'm concerned if anything is cut including music, It's not complete.

I have read nothing but bad reviews of this set: Music subsitutions, entire scenes cut because of the music licensing issue, etc. It sounds to me like they shouldn't have put this out at all, because you're not getting the complete, uncut episodes in their original form.
A fan would be better served with bootleg DVDs sourced from original network airings, even if they're not up to par technically due to their age and recording source. ![]()
