Default Richard Roundtree was a excellent choice to play Kim's Father

They actually were believable as father and daughter and really looked like they were related.

Which guy was he again? I haven't seen the show in so long. Are you talking about the military guy who was a professor?

Okay, HIM. Yes, he was very good as her father. I didn't know his name.

Actually they did very well with casting all of the parents of the characters in this show- esp Art Evans as Ron's father- both short and had the same mannerisms, Diahann Carroll and Ron O'neal as Whitley's parents, Anita Morris as Freddie's mother, Patti Labelle as Dwayne's mother and Ron Canada as Lena's father were all ideal for those parts.

Superfly played Whitley's Dad Too? He also played Sinclair's Father on Living Single

I agree, not only did they look like they could be related, but there characters played well off of each other.
