Kevin James Will Star as an MMA Fighter in Upcoming Film
Link
Sony has announced that "Grown Ups" star Kevin James will re-team with the studio for an untitled movie set in the world of mixed martial arts. James will play a physics teacher whose school is facing drastic budget cuts. In order to earn money to save his best friend's job and the music program that his students hold dear, he moonlights as an MMA fighter, and ultimately winds up doing battle in the UFC. The video features Couture and James sparring back in 2006. "The Natural" is probably taking it easy on the big fella but James doesn't look like a clown either. According to several reports on the internet, James wrestled and played football in high school. The 45-year-old actor now appears to be around 5-foot-8, 250 pounds. So when he steps into the Octagon, which real fighter should he face?

Pretty interesting, thanks.
Looking at The Dilemma (which doesn't look good for having James/Vaughn in it) red carpet photos he definitely dropped some lbs. He looks like he is getting shorter though. Anways, he definitely doesn't look like old Doug Heffernan. Dilemma movie premier Jan 5, 2011 http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/vrb7e...Gm/Kevin+James One with him running with Sandler July 30th, 2010 http://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/bg/K...joG12JXJ9l.jpg Pretty big difference. I assume he will start training pretty hard. I will be said if he gets to 200 or below considering I will always think of him as Doug Heffernan ("mid to high" 200's, (from Furious George episode)). I didn't like him as much when he was like 230-240ish in Dougless and then season 7 he seemed like 240-250 range. I liked early Doug where he was like 275... much better for the character IMO. Plus, in the earlier seasons he was always in his IPS uniform then he got skinnier and they had him wearing all these name brand fancy shirts and wasn't in his IPS uniform (which to me is classic Doug) as much. |
