It is a gorgeous board.

But I hope if they ever do a Facts of Life one, they get the layout right. The first edition should be in the dorm, with stairs going up on the left, and Mrs. G's room on the right. It should also have a stable, an office for Mr. Bradley, and tiny cafeteria, with very little food.

Obviously the living room was not in the center of the house, and there was a hallway leading to all the bedrooms. Not so on this game board.

Perhaps it has something to do with needing to move game pieces "around the board" as you play. The actual layout of Blanches house would not lend itself to doing that very well.

Why the details of each room isn't more accurate I can't account for.

I think they could have done better with the layout, but I see what you mean. I can totally see getting together with other sitcom fans and playing this! For GG fans who have friends who are also GG fans, this is a must-have!

That is an odd box cover. Sophia's face sorta looks like Mrs. Doubtfire.

What are the pieces? Looks like... Sophia's beaded purse, cheesecake, teddy bear(?), tennis racket(?), grasshopper on a motorcycle(?), and soiled wig(?)

I'm not even a big fan of the original Monopoly. But the GG version looks like a lot of fun. I want both this, and the GG Clue game. Hope Santa's good to me this Christmas!

I'd like to get the Clue game but I'm not too interested in Monopoly.

Hey tlc, is it true that with DirecTV, you can't even pause? I find that hard to believe. Is it just Spectrum propaganda, or is it true? Do you use a DVR with it?

tlc38tlc38:

Very cute post. If my son doesn't take my hint and buy me both the GG calendar and the Clue game for Christmas, I will buy them myself!!
