This rumours one was the best!!! (Im glad it doesnt have any dolby on it)

Fleetwood Mac was a good singles band for two years, 1976 and 1977, but in my opinion their albums, including Rumours, are overrated and loaded with filler. So I've avoided their albums but I have some of their hits on vinyl 45's.

Foreigner's Double Vision album is good, not as good as their first album but it's still a decent album.

My favorite Foreigner album is Head Games, then the first one, then Foreigner 4, then Double Vision. After Foreigner 4, their music wasn't that good anymore so I stopped following them.

A comment about Dolby noise reduction- I have Dolby B and Dolby C on my stereo cassette recorder. I don't like Dolby C, but Dolby B works awesome, it removes the tape hiss and accurately reproduces the music from vinyl records without reduction in sound quality.

The Lonely, The Lonesome & The Gone - Lee Ann Womack

Her three prior albums before this one were top-notch so I knew this one would be no different. As she said upon its release, "The most daring thing you can do in country music these days is make country music." I'm currently wrapped up in a love affair with this record.

Today I got a record and a cassette

1) RECORD: a 78 - Frank Sinatra (From this day forward/Something old Something new)

2) CASSETTE: Neil Diamond - Hot august night (Live 1972 (first 1972 release)) - I also have the 8 track (Also first release)

I didnt know this was 1/2 speed mastered.... I didnt think they did stuff like that in 1972 (Maybe thats why it sounds so good on the 8 track (Well NO DOLBY FILTERING is one thing that lets it sound so good))

Before Christmas I got a couple new Christmas cd's by a singing group called The All American Boys Chorus. Absolutely beautiful singing and music! One cd is titled A Little Christmas Magic the other is The Best Gift Of All.

Then I recently in the last few weeks downloaded a song, Choosing A Puppy For A Very Long Mission In Space by The Rothbard Cottingham Bandwagon. No joke. The song is an instrumental. Although sometimes Windows Media Player gets the information wrong it tells me the song was written by Rick Wakeman. Who if I remember was a member of "progressive" rock bands in the 70s like Yes and another one with his surname "Wakeman" in the name of it but I can't remember what it is at the moment. The Rotbard Cottingham Bandwagon is actually a duo, Rothbard and Cottingham being the last names of the two members, I came across them browsing for music on Amazon a couple months ago. They have an interesting story. The two guys met and became friends in college but lost touch after graduation. Somehow, they reconnected after 30 years so I guess they're either in their late 40s or early 50s. But one lives in Texas and the other one lives in Arkansas. But apparently they collaborate totally by email and sending each other things on their cellphones like vocal and musical recordings and song lyrics (they both apparently have a home recording studio). Which to me sounds like a crazy of way creating albums but I guess it works for them. They've been quite prolific apparently according to what I've read they've made over 12 albums in about the past 10 years. Some of the songs are more collaborative and some of them are totally written, produced, and recorded by just one of them. They seem to be categorized as "alternative rock" but their sound includes a lot of different things and to me is all over the place but I really like them. They're definitely something a little different than usual. And also as far as I can tell all of their stuff has only been released digitally.

Ed.
