Wow, I had no idea PBS was out to take guns. It's very sad they hate you, maybe you said something to them, like maybe you tried to kick Big Bird. What does stuck up portion even mean? if you mean educated by stuck up, well yes I want more educated people who watch Masterpiece Theatre instead of Duck Dynasty.

In fact, PBS tends to run cultured shows. Honestly, I don't even get these attitude many rightwingers (not conservatives) have towards culture lately. I like "smart" shows, like PBS documentaries over trash like the Kardashians. I'd prefer people who watch PBS over reality tv. That's not a liberal/conservative thing at all.

PBS childrens programming is one of the reasons our children are so confused. The progressive culture PBS pushes on them is more of a brainwashing. PBS wants to fundamentally change America just like Obama tried to do. We have a generation of politically correct snowflakes who do nothing but scream at anybody they deem "unenlightened". That includes their own parents.

Really, I had no idea since I don't watch children's programming. However, when I was a kid and watched Sesame Street I was able to learn and was very advanced academically. You are aware Sesame Street has been around since 1969, right? What kinds of progressive views are they promoting? I know Sesame Street has always championed diversity, which is important for kids to have so they aren't racist.

I grew-up watching PBS (1982-1993) and I learned a lot from Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Reading Rainbow, The Letter People, and Carmen Sandiego to name a few.

Maybe once Barney and Friends became popular, the quality of learning went down because after Sesame Street becoming 25...they needed something to compete against Barney...so they had Elmo dominate the show!

I never really understood PBS. I always thought there shows were boring so I really never watched it. But if people like it, they like it. I'm actually surprised PBS is still around with all the channels and cord cutting.

I wonder too. I haven't heard about the stuff Dadtheking mentions but have heard some of the stupidity, like "veggie monster".
