The Steven Banks Show- lasted 13 episodes in 1994. It was sort of kind of a spin-off of Bank's one man show Steven Banks: Home Entertainment Center. It'd be great if they released both on DVD together.

Nope. It was an NBC series in the late 1990's (or maybe it was early 2000's) starring Brecking Meyer as a sports agent who uses sports references and plays to narrate his life. It was a half-hour sitcom and last about one season.

My brother-in-law acutally watched (and liked) that show (which aired in 2001). He's the only one I know who watched. I like the Sherwood Schwartz idea, though - THAT would have been interesting.

Yep, that's him. That's from his one man show- Home Entertainment Center. He had so many funny songs on that-

When I was 10 years old, I was tryin' to be cool.
I was a fab-year Beatle runnin' round Liverpool.
First I was John,
Then George,
and then Paul.
I didn't wanna be Ringo at all.
He wasn't cool.

In high school, we watched the Steven Banks special in health class when we studied left brain vs. right brain. It was awesome. I'd love to see that special again. Thanks for clearing that up.

Years and years ago I had a copy of it, and a couple of episodes from his sitcom recorded on tape. I loaned it out and never got it back

There's an episode where the scientists are in Sherwood's head and they accidentally cross some wires in his brain- His "story ideas" get mixed in with "shows he watched on TV"- Gilliagan's Island and Wagon Train, which of course results in hilarity.

You could always call the show They Saved Sherwood's Brain.

Gilligan's Island crossed with Wagon Train equals Dusty's Trail!
