Unhappy Actor Sullivan Walker [Dr. James Harmon] 1944-2012

Link

Funeral services for veteran actor and playwright Sullivan Walker will be held Tuesday in Brooklyn.

The Trinidad-born, New York-based Walker died suddenly last Monday in California. He was 68.

Walker, who came to New York in the late 1960s to pursue his career, is remembered for several roles including a recurring part on television’s “The Cosby Show” as Dr. James Harmon, a friend of Bill Cosby’s Cliff Huxtable character.

He also played Yale in nearly every episode of the sci-fi TV show “Earth 2.”

His Hollywood film credits include “Crocodile Dundee” and “The Firm” with Tom Cruise.

Walker starred in August Wilson’s hit Broadway show “Two Trains Running,” and was a lead in the national tour of Broadway’s “Master Harold and The Boys.”

He wrote and performed in a number of one-man shows and shared about his acting successes through an ongoing workshop called “How to Make it in Movies, Television and Theater with a Caribbean Accent.”

The funeral will be held at the Brooklyn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2380 Pacific St. The wake will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and funeral will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Walker will be buried in Trinidad.

Wow. I missed tihs one. I'm saddened by this. He was still young. I remember him on "The Cosby Show" and "Where I live" with Doug E. Doug. I remember Bill Cosby making a plea to ABC to renew "Where I live" for a second season. I will miss Sullivan.
