I hope Mistresses comes beetween of the two DWTS circle.

Alien shows can be good if done well (Mork & Mindy, ALF, 3rd Rock from the Sun). But The Neighbors doesn't look like it's on that level. Malibu Country should have gone on Wednesday instead. The Family Trap and The Manzanis would have been better pickups. ABC did this last year also when they could have had Smothered and Other People's Kids but ended up with Working It and Man Up. Counter Culture sounded good but one of the stars had to drop out.

Malibu County would NOT fit on Wednesday. Multi cams + single cams = doesn't work. See: Better With You.

I would have much rather seen Malibu County paired with The Middle than Suburgatory. I was really disappointed in the Suburgatory pilot, it has nothing in common with The Middle. I also preferred Better With You to Suburgatory.

Whether or not you preferred it, it just wouldn't work, and Suburgatory is a much better fit with The Middle than either of those shows.

ABC: Why we're pitting "New Girl" vs. "Happy Endings"
"I do think there is room on the networks for big ratings," ABC president Paul Lee says of "New Girl's" new Tuesday timeslot. PLUS: Can ABC's new schedule lift it out of 4th place?

ABC's Tim Allen/Reba McEntire Friday comedy block looks like "TGIF"
The new comedy block, however, won't be called "TGIF," after the long-running family-friendly comedy block.

Hmm I'm glad ABC seems to be fully supportive of Happy Endings but I'm a little worried. I love the show and don't want it to get crushed.

Default Mistresses Future

I really want Alyssa to have a huge hit & become a TV mega star, so I am disappointed with the news that Mistresses likely won't premiere until next May. Unlike cable, network shows airing in the summer aren't usually well respected, so it appears like Mistresses will fall into that category, similar to ABC's other summer drama series-"Rookie Blue".

Do you know if there is even the slightest chance that ABC might move up "Mistresses" premiere to earlier in the 2012-13 season? I really hope so, since network history has shown that even if Mistresses is considered a success with a summer run, it likely won't become more than a summer series and join the more prestigious fall/winter schedule. Am I right on this, or have there been shows(non-reality) that went from a network's summer schedule to it's fall/winter schedule?

Finally, would love to know what you're hearing from other TV people about Mistresses & Alyssa's role in it.

Thanks. It'll be a very long 12 months, if that is how long I have to wait to see Mistresses.

NBC is technically in 3rd place but only because they aired The Super Bowl.

It's basically a tie right now for 3rd as Super Bowl has inflated NBC. If ABC still passes NBC for third by Wednesday, wow, that is not good for NBC with the highest rated program in TV history inflating it.

Absolutely it could air before May. Many things still can happen until now and next mid-season. I'll have the pilot in the next week or so (along with other critics), so can't wait to see it. No one really has seen it right now except for the test audience.

There really hasn't been many summer scripted series, so none that I can think of that transitioned to fall/mid-season. Rookie Blue is big for ABC in summer.

Beginning to watch pilots, first watched: Mistresses. It doesn't debut until 2013 (hopefully earlier than May). It is addicting, delicious & naughty! As always, Alyssa Milano is great to watch and easy on the eyes, as usual! Great stories to start the show off. And Yunjin Kim's story is excellent!

That's all I can say for now, as we can't review yet. We'll have little blurbs from the other 9 pilots here soon.

Moving Revenge to Sunday nights is a bad move. No one watches TV on Sunday nights.

Not True. Lot of peoples watch TV on Sunday Nights. Friday and Saturday is when no one is watching. 60 Minutes has been getting more then 10 Million Viewers on Sunday over the last 6 Months. Maybe Sunday don't get the Ratings of Monday-Wednesday but it's still has a lot of peoples watching especially during Football season. It's get more peoples and higher rated then Friday and Saturday but behind the other three Nights that I mentioned.
