Well, I haven't had any exciting news to share here, really. But I do have one... I'm trying to iron out plans for a trip to NYC after the new year with a few other people who used to post here.

I went to the hospital to have my gall bladder taken out!!!!! The surgery was successful, and I was so happy because my gallstones are not even appearing any longer. And the doctors were really kind and sweet to me...one nurse even said to my mother that I was so cute!! Half of the day was goood but there were some parts of it that weren't very nice...but still it was a really good day!!!! i'm so glad it was successful.

Congratulations on your successful surgery. I hope your recovery is going well!

Thank God the professor didn't make us take the final today. I had absolutely no time to study for it.

I got such a good seat for the Reba/Lee Ann Womack/George Strait show in February. I never expected to get 4th row.

More people really need to use this thread.

Anyway, I graduated yesterday. It was a pretty good ceremony. I won't get the actual diploma until about 8-12 weeks from now.

Wow, that's just wonderful, Michael! I know you've worked very hard towards your goal, and you reached it, probably with a 4.0 GPA. I know you were getting fantastic grades. Will you participate in the graduation ceremony next year or will they have a separate one now? Also, I remember you said you were working. Will you stay there or is it time to pound the pavement? Sorry for all the questions. I'm just so happy for you.

Congratulations!!

Thanks, Janice! It means a lot. Lol, not quite a 4.0, but my final grad GPA should be near 3.6. Sunday actually was the ceremony. They have a ceremony in December for Fall graduates and another in May for Winter/Spring graduates. I didn't go to my undergrad ceremony so it was nice to go to the Master's one. I'm actually not working right now, but I will start looking for a job soon. It will have to be a job that will give me qualifying CPA experience. You need one year of qualifying experience, 150 credit hours of education (which I have), and the passing of all four sections of the CPA exam to become licensed in Michigan. I plan to sit for the first section in February, so next month will be spent doing a ton of studying. I interviewed with one of the Big Four accounting firms this Fall. Unfortunately, I didn't get the job, but it was an honor being selected to interview with them. Thanks, again!

Made it through my hardest college semester ever! 17 credit hours with a 3.5 GPA, 3 A's 2 B's and 1 C. A big thank you to my awesome boyfriend for helping keep me sane through it and staying up so many late nights while I finish everything up.
