Icon15 Watch Out For Twilight Scams!

On the internet,a while ago there was a Twilight scam going on where they said eager people wanting to get parts in the new twilight movie could pay a fee to get a part. they said people could sign up for the next twilight movie, which they said was already starteing to be filmed. Eclipse was the movie they were mentioning, and Eclipse was still a good year away, and a tentative year at that, so it wasn't being filmed yet, because it was little more than an idea at the time. there was a warning put out not to pay these scammers for a part of a movie that was still little more a tentative idea at the time. it was revealed to be a scam.

There is a new alert out there about people making scams to leak "Breaking Dawn" onto home computers, for 100.00. Breaking Dawn isn't even out in theaters yet, so that right there is atip off red flag that it's a scam.

I've been getting a bunch of emails lately claiming that in "celebration" of Steve Jobs' passing they are giving away free iPhones and iPads - just reply with your name, address and credit card information to cover the shipping costs and they will send it right out.

common sense people.

There are plenty of little fishes out there that will chomp at the bait. The scammers only need a few to make it profitable.

I got the same thing on Yahoo messenger and they were sent as if they came from my girlfriend with her name beside each message.
