There was one episode where it would be nice if the characters the actors were playing knew they were on TV for millions of people to watch. It was the episode where All was trying to get Frankie Avalon to perform for some variety show or something. Anyway, Jenny Piccolo started to do her part; and the Fonz ruined it for millions of viewers who would've liked to see her in a bikini by hitting the juke box to shut it off and interrupt her act. True going all the way wouldn't be good for national television, but it would've been nice if she would've gotten as much bikini time as Joanie did in an episode.

Why was the local hangout called Arnold's on that show? Who's Arnold?

because Matsuo "Arnold" Takahashi owned the place before (and technically after when he came back at the end) Al bought it; of course his name wasn't actually "Arnold" - presumably the name came from another former owner; as Arnold explained it, 'signs are expensive - do you know how many letters in "Takahashi"?' , strangely though, in the Pilot the place is called "Arthur's" but this is completely ignored in the series

The only way that's acceptable is if it's in a self defense situation or if you're spanking a daughter.

But during both times that he operated the restaurant, he answered to the name Arnold while he was working and during other parts of his life as well.

apparently everyone just assumed his name was Arnold because he owned the place and he didn't bother correcting them

Back to what the thread was about as far as pretty girls. Compared to snakes that don't lose physical beauty when they age, the girl who played Joanie Arcola in the finale episode and the one who played Jenny Piccolo did lose their physical beauty eventually, but Erin Moran wasn't as pretty as Kathleen Silvers when she was in the cast.
