Dollars to donuts the skyjacker who called himself Dan Cooper is not sitting poolside in Panama drinking a pina colada

Well, that would just be silly.

Why would he sit poolside when he could get to either ocean in like 60 miles?

Where's the money?

Every bill eventually makes its way back to the Fed for destruction. The average lifespan of bills is between 8 to 15 years for the $20 to $100 range.

Every serial number of the Cooper money is known.

Even if the money were spent overseas.. Eventually, it comes back to the Fed. Where is it?

Not one bill has ever turned up in circulation or been returned to the Fed for destruction. Not one. The only trace was the $5880 found by Brian Ingram in 1980. A few months before the area was covered in volcanic ash by Mount Saint Helens.

With that fact. There are two scenarios. One.. He died in the jump.. Or two, he got away and never spent a dime (We can branch off here and say that is due to either losing the money in the jump, or 'other' reasons for not spending the $200k you got)

Any of the theories that say he gambled the money away.. Used it to buy houses.. Those can pretty much be discounted immediately.

With respect to McCoy, did anyone who came in contact with Cooper (notably the flight attendants) confirm whether or not they thought McCoy was the guy? For as much time as they spent interacting, it seems like they would be best suited to positively identify him as Richard McCoy if indeed it was him. I’ve always wondered that but can’t seem to find any source stating whether or not that is the case. If not, that seems like a pretty strong point against it being him

McCoy did not match the flight attendant descriptions perfectly, but it was JUST enough off that I doubt it was him. I haven't heard anywhere that the flight attendants said it wasn't him, but.. They don't talk much, so, that's not overly surprising. He was 31, while Cooper was mid-40's.. He was 6'2, while Cooper was described as 5'10" to 6 foot and was about 20-30 pounds heavier than the Cooper description.

McCoy was a copycat. A pretty bad one at that. That's my opinion.

so to tie the picture into the story. maybe it was a disgruntled employee. There are so many people who are sure it was McCoy. I am not sure, but this is one case that I have spent too much time watching. There are too many rabbit holes.
