Thumbs down 'Fish' Got A Raw Deal on ABC!

http://news.google.com/newspapers?id...man+mayo&hl=en

The Reason 'Fish' failed is because it wasn't a Danny Arnold produced show. None of the writers were from Barney Miller. It was just given the name 'Fish' to capitalize on then Barney Miller's popularity. As a matter of fact, Danny arnold was given a credit on the show even though he had nothing to do with it. It was all ABC's idea to give Abe Vigoda his own show. Danny Arnold refused, but was over ruled by the network.

Cool

Going by your theory ABC gave a raw deal to a series that the network itself insisted on putting on the air. Why would they do that?

Abe Vigoda was born on February 24, 1921. So he is 89 years old.

It's too bad the network didn't invest more in the show. I really enjoyed watching when it was on the air. Hope it comes to dvd soon.
