I enjoyed Hellions, I might pick up the Blu Ray. It was obvious though, with the look of the little trick or treaters they were totally trying to create an iconic character like Sam from Trick R Treat.

But while cruising with a group of friends one night, their stretch limo is run off the road and into the water by a gang of ruthless kidnappers — who then dive in to finish the job. Suddenly it's sink or swim, as the bodyguard must fight to keep the vehicle from becoming a watery grave.

This edge-of-your-seat thriller, directed by Steven C. Miller (Silent Night), also stars Cody Christian (TV's Teen Wolf), Talulah Riley (Thor: The Dark World), Rosa Salazar (Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials), Tim Daly (Diner) and Mario Van Peebles (New Jack City).

Dementia (2015)

A disabled war veteran is in bad hands when his family hires the live in nurse from hell in this intense psychological shocker. George (The Sacrament's Gene Jones) is an aging ex-soldier haunted by memories of Vietnam and struggling to reconnect with his estranged son and granddaughter.

But when he suffers a stroke and is diagnosed with dementia, George is left in the care of Michelle (Halloween's Kristina Klebe), a seemingly sweet nurse with a disturbing dark side. At the mercy of a psychopath with a hypodermic needle, George becomes a prisoner in his own home, caught in a sadistic game of cat and mouse as brutal as anything he experienced in Vietnam.

In his feature debut, director Mike Testin masterfully keeps the tension mounting—until it explodes in delirious violence.

Bad Moon (1996)

Here's something for fans of werewolf films to howl in celebration about: 1996's underrated Bad Moon will be coming out on Blu-ray on July 19th!

Writer/director Eric Red (Body Parts) delivers a unique and gory infusion of thrills with this red blooded shocker. Michael Paré (Streets of Fire) and Mariel Hemmingway (Lipstick) star.

Extras are in progress and will be announced sometime later on in the early Summer time period.

Pre-order now at https://www.shoutfactory.com/film/film-horror/bad-moon

Hellhole (1985)

As some of you may recall, we had to cancel the release in 2014 due to problems we had with the film elements. However, we recently located a decent theatrical print which will now allow us to integrate the sections from the film print into the interpositive we transferred originally.

The IP we had appeared to be a TV cut as all the nudity and violence from the R-rated version was missing. Please note that since some footage is from a print there will be a minor (but unavoidable) noticeable difference to the eye between the IP and the print.

We are thrilled that we could "save" this one and hope fans of the film (and new ones) will enjoy and support it.

Blu-ray
3/29/16

Terrifying Tales From Literary Legends

A pair of horror's most famous authors – Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft – provide the inspiration for a most diabolical double feature.

Murders in the Rue Morgue

Your first frightening film is 1971's Murders in the Rue Morgue. In early 20th-century Paris, a theatrical company with a specialty in Grand Guignol undertakes their most gruesome production yet.

But when a madman with an axe to grind arrives on the scene, the stage is set for real mayhem and murder most foul. Will the backstage bloodshed be quelled – or is it curtains for the cast? Jason Robards and Herbert Lom star in this marvelously macabre mystery.

Special Features:

- New Audio Commentary with Author and Film Historian Steve Haberman

- Stage Tricks & Screen Frights Featurette

- Theatrical Trailer

The Dunwich Horror

From the City of Lights (and frights), our tour of terror moves on to a small New England town in 1970's The Dunwich Horror. When a beautiful student named Nancy catches the eye of the weird Wilbur Whateley, it's up to her professor, the good doctor and occult expert Dr. Henry Armitage, to warn her that no good will come of it.

But as Armitage digs deeper into the Whateley family history, he uncovers a buried secret – and a plot intended to call forth an evil beyond imagination. A cult favorite that proves that The Old Ones are good ones, The Dunwich Horror stars Dean Stockwell, Ed Begley, and Sandra Dee.

Special Features:

- New Audio Commentary with Author and Film Historian Steve Haberman

And finally, we’d like to address the question of the soundtrack, which we know many of you have asked about:

For our new transfer we have gone back to the original audio tracks to create a new soundtrack. Only one song - The Damned’s “Dead Beat Dance” - could not be cleared for inclusion on the disc unfortunately. Otherwise, the rest will be the original audio as heard in the theaters when the film played first-run.
