Exclamation Reality Star Tila Tequila Hospitalized After Brain Aneurysm & Drug Overdose

Reality TV personality Tila Tequila nearly died last week after suffering a brain aneurysm and the effects of a prescription drug overdose. When she experienced the horrific head pain from the aneurysm, she took two entire bottles of an "unspecified heavy prescription drug."

According to a report from RadarOnline, Tila, 30, was released from the hospital on Monday—and she's really incredibly lucky to have survived the harrowing ordeal.

A source says Tila suffered the brain aneurysm in the middle of the night while she was asleep in bed. It seems the pain caused her to behave in an irrational way,Tila Tequila and that's why she took the two bottles of prescription pills. It certainly sounds like she was trying somehow to alleviate the awful pain she was feeling.

"Tila threw up all over her bed after overdosing and felt like she was dying. She was screaming for help, and in desperation, broke her bedroom window and attempted to jump out," the source says.

Fortunately during the frightening episode, Tila Tequila somehow sent a really strange text to a friend, and that may have saved her life.

"Finally a friend came over after getting a strange text from her and found her convulsing on the bed. He called an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital," the source says.

It's uncertain thus far if Tila suffered some permanent brain damage. The 4'11" star went from weighing 100 pounds to 78 pounds. She still hasn't regained her ability to speak properly. The fact that she got to the hospital just in the nick of time to be stabilized made the difference between life and death. Now it's a waiting game to see what kind of life she'll be able to live.

Hopefully Tila Tequila will emerge relatively unscathed from this horrible brush with death. The next few weeks will no doubt prove critical in her recovery.

Tila Tequila Entering Rehab After Recent Suicide Scare
Mar 7, 2012
by Hanh Nguyen

Tila Tequila has agreed to seek help.

The reality star has consented to enter rehab for substance abuse and treatment of psychological issues a week after her suicide scare, TMZ reports.

The star of "A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila" has reportedly been struggling with substance abuse problems and has admitted to being addicted to pain medications.

In 2010, the model, whose legal name is Tila Nguyen, was poised to appear as one of the high-profile clients on the fourth season of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew", but withdrew from the cast.

According to TMZ, her roommate called 911 on Feb. 29 and said that Nguyen had "tried to kill herself all week." Cops found her fading in and out of consciousness and she was taken to St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank, Calif.

Although she was released under recommendation that she seek psychiatric care, her manager later called 911 again, but authorities were not able to enter the home. Nguyen told a 911 operator that she couldn't open the door because she was in a wheelchair.

There are no details regarding which treatment facility is accepting Nguyen or when she will begin to receive help.
