As well as Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio), I'm sure they will not stick around long, due to salary issues and when someone big returns the storyline usually is a disapointment. During the second season of the SoapNet original "GH: Nightshift", Rogers did some of his best work with a cancer scare. Perhaps if he did stick around, a story arc could include if Luke's new son Ethan is really his or Roberts? As when Emma Samms' Holly character returned, it was left up in the air and a paternity test could have always been fixed.

As for newbie Cassandra, many years ago I suggested that Luke & Helena could have spawned a child....or of course she is a spencer with Laura her mommy, so Ethan better be Roberts son, otherwise he is sleeping with a non-relation, but it is creepy if Ethan's dad is Luke and Cassandra's mother is Laura!

I for one am very sorry to see Kimberly leave, I'm sure the writers could have thought of a better exit, for many years Kimberly was gone, but I think they smell cancellation in the air.

Lastly obviously the connection between Franco & Jason seems to be that they are either half or actual brothers....Alan could have impregnated Susan Moore twice, with the first or second child (Franco) going into adoption. I like how GH reaches into their rich past and history and talks about a character like Susan Moore who died in & around the early 1980's! I have been watching since 1979.

PS...I know all soaps take extreme liberties when it comes to revisionist history, and we all know this Claudia thing about her being Johnny's mother was just recently thought of, two years after the fact....but no one wants to mention that while Sonny was married to Claudia, he was actually Johnny's Step-father! Not to mention it does explain why Claudia went off the deep end and wanted to steal Carly's baby, since she had already had a baby taken away from her.....c'mon writers I think Carly could have at least said it once by now to try and colsole Johnny that his mother wasn't such a freak show!

I'm fairly new to watching the show again and I had no idea Jason was adopted I thought I had remembered Monica being pregnant with AJ and Jason. I'm really upset that they killed off Robin she virtually grew up on that show and to have her exit this way is unbelieveable, espeically since her life was going well. I also keep wondering when we'll see the One Life To Live character's make an appearance. How are Elizabeth and Steve Webbers? Are they related to Rick or Jeff?

I found this article on Kimberly:

Kimberly McCullough leaving 'General Hospital'
Feb. 17, 2012 08:24 AM
Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Longtime viewers of "General Hospital" have watched Kimberly McCullough grow up. She originated the role of Robin Scorpio as a child in 1985 and will leave the show this month.

The actress first appeared in the ABC soap opera at 7 years old as the precocious Robin. In the soap genre, child characters tend to inexplicably age rapidly (referred to by fans as soap opera rapid aging syndrome, or SORAS) and get recast by older actors to give them juicer story lines. The "General Hospital" producers, though, not only let McCullough age on camera but gave her wiggle room to come and go, like to attend New York University.

The portrayal earned McCullough two Daytime Emmy awards and critical acclaim for a plot line in which her character's boyfriend Stone died of AIDS. Around that time, Robin also discovered she was HIV-positive.

While recently attending a women's directing program at the American Film Institute, McCullough, now 33, said in an interview that she realized it was time to pursue a dream to direct full time.

"The first thing they said to us was, 'OK, now you're a director,'" she said. "It felt terrifying, relieving and validating. It was a wakeup call, like, 'OK, don't just say you want to do this. Do this.' So after that it kind of became clear that I needed to figure out a way to exit the story."

Juggling acting with directing wasn't an option. McCullough says she's not a multitasker and likes to fully commit to whatever she's doing.

"I can't help myself. When I'm at work I have to give my all," she said. "It's just how I am."

"General Hospital" is pulling out all the stops for the character's goodbye. It's bringing back veteran actors Finola Hughes and Tristan Rogers, who play her parents, Anna and Robert. Rick Springfield also will return as the father of Robin's husband.

"It makes sense that both Anna and Robert are there," said McCullough, who can't reveal exactly how she leaves.

While it's uncertain whether Robin will return to "General Hospital," Hughes is not concerned about the fate of McCullough.

"I have to say I'm incredibly proud of her," Hughes said. "I've watched her grow up and keep a cool head. It's not easy being in this business as a child, and she's always managed to keep a level head. She has a great future."

Hi Comedyfreak & others,

Perhaps other GH fans can help with your questions, because even though I wrote much about the shows history, most of your questions stumped me....

I can definately tell you that Alan had an affair with character Susan Moore and that is how jason was born, she eventually became a drunk, she might have been murdered or just drank herself with pills to death. the ending of the affair with Alan literally killed her, she might have had a side storyline afterwards b4 death, but Monica accepted Alans child into the home, That is why it stung AJ because jason seemed to be the favored child. Plus AJ was a drunk and jason was in the car with his brother when they had a accident that changed Jason's brain chemstry, still a storyline currently.

as far as the connection to Franco, they can literally come up with anything 30 years later, look how characters grow up so fast in port charles....with the exception of Kimberly who literally did grow up in front of the cameras...it is the norm in daytime dramas to age characters quicker to begin storylines....the young actor that did portray Michael did it for over 8 years as a child, and his recast is nothing like what the original actor who probably now is about 15 looked like. but that is daytime....

personally I must sadly announce again that I will not be participating in threads anymore, I tried to come back after not posting that much over the last 6 months but cannot continue.....I love the site but if you don't hear back or I don't respond, please don't take it personally.

My best to everyone and here's hoping GH survives cancellation, as GH and myself are both the same age!

I'm still mad about Robin. They definitely had other ways to have her exit. They were just too lazy to do them in my opinion. I remember watching Robin as a child being a child around the same time since we are both the same age when she debut on GH,.

Now this thing about Kristen storms leaving has me mad too however I will continue to watch GH.
