I didn't know where to put this but seeing as some of you have watched the Lifetime network, thought I'd give it a try. There was a movie based on a true case I think I saw on Lifetime years ago. Think it was supposed to have happened either early 90s or 80s.
This girl had her friend spend the night with the idea they'd sleep in a tent in the backyard. Think the girls were early or mid teens. They went to a fair earlier that day and a guy hassled the friend there. It wasn't clear whether she knew the guy or not. Well that night the two girls and the younger brother of the host girl played cards and hung out in the tent. There may have been a few other people there. They may have played strip poker or that was the investigator's scenario or something like that. Anyway, when the party wound down, the host girl decided she didn't want to sleep in the tent, but the friend did or something like that. Sorry, I know this is kind of convoluted but I only saw it once a long time ago. The next morning, the friend is found dead in the tent by either the host girl or her brother. Can't remember if she was beaten or stabbed. There was something about the gate. Can't remember if it was opened or shut but there was some significance there. The cops focus on the younger brother. He seemed a little young but then the movie focused on his case, I think. One other thing was the parents of both girls had been friends and then, understandably enough the parents of the dead girl blamed them for what happened. Does anyone remember this case or the movie? Thanks. |

Old post, but I just logged back in here. That's the movie. Thanks! Been wondering about that for years.
