The power button on my phone just broke today, so I guess I'm going to go to Verizon tomorrow... Kill two birds with one stone. Renew my contract (it ends mid-June) and also upgrade my phone (been eligible for an upgrade since February). I wanted to wait to do both, but I guess I'm doing it sooner than anticipated, lol. :/

I'm just glad I got back from New York City in time. It would have sucked having to get a new phone while I was in NYC, lol.

Jenny, it's so hard to believe it's been a year since you last saw Cuddles. I'll never understand your mother's coldness on that one.

James, sorry to hear that your neighbor died; 51 is so young. Cancer, it seems that's all we hear these days. A very dear friend and neighbor of ours, Mary, died of cancer today. She was 73. She fought so hard. First breast cancer, then we thought it was in her past, but it then spread to her liver and kidneys. At least she's out of pain and with God now.

Thank you, Janice...it's going fairly well.

Very sorry to hear about your friend and neighbor.

Is he throwing up, Jenny? I do know that my cats go through a day or two at a time where they will vomit, then they will be right back to normal. Seems like it's a "cat thing".

One thing that does it to them is when I switch food on them. It takes them a while to process it; you are supposed to gradually introduce the new food to them but sometimes I forget (or simply run out of the old kind).

Angry RAIN!!!!!!!!

So I was in New York City recently, right? That was around three weeks ago - I came home from NYC on the 15th. Since I've been home, it's been virtually NONSTOP RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! The average May rainfall for my city (1981 - 2010) has been 2.4". For May of 2013? 8". EIGHT. ****ING. INCHES. OF. RAINFALL. That's over 3x more rainfall than normal! There has been (minor) flooding everywhere as a result of all the excess rain -- the entire state has been getting it, not just my city. I AM SO ****ING SICK OF 3 WEEKS STRAIGHT OF RAIN. I AM GONNA ****ING CUT SOMEONE SOON.

Sorry about that. I served on one about twenty years ago but it was an easy one, a drunk driving case, only took a few hours. Since then they've sent me notices to appear but since I was taking care of my ailing mother at the time I did not have to go.

I don't think I'd want to go again, honestly. You never know what you will run into.

Sorry to hear that. Jury duty for the most part is dull & boring unless you get picked for a high profile case but then you could end up sequestered which isn't so great either. Good luck on it & maybe you won't get picked.

I was called for Jury Duty once but got out of it since I was days away from moving to PA. I haven't been called since.
