Cool Complex

*I'm thinking of starting a mini-series, Complex, about Rose and a colorful cast of characters. This is a crossover with Three's Company and can also be found on that board.

Characters:
Betty White as Rose Nylund: Same old, naive Rose is back in a new series!
Joyce DeWitt as Janet Wood-Dawson: A former tenant, who returns after her husband's death
Mo'Nique as Maya Moreno: Vi's man-crazy best friend
Julia Duffy as Vicki Martin-Kennedy: One of Rockwell's tenants
Steve Martin as Marcus Kennedy: Vicki's husband of 15 years
Scott Weinger as Richard Martin: Vicki's baby brother
Blake Woodruff as Jerry Nylund: Vi's 9 year old grandson
And Carol Burnett as Violet (Vi) Nylund: Rose's cousin, the landlord of the Rockwell Apartments

Episode Guide:

1:1. Pilot: Rose Nylund says good-bye to her friends at the Golden Palace and moves to Santa Monica. She stays with her cousin, Violet and her 9-year old qrandson, Jerry. Vi just happens to be a landlord of an apartment complex. Rose meets Victoria Kennedy, her husband, Marcus, and her younger brother Richard, who is madly in love with Maya. Her cousin is able to give Rose a room with a returning tenant, Janet Wood, whose husband died in a fire. But can Janet live with Rose’s old-fashioned ways? (Guest Stars: Blanche Devereaux and Sophia Petrillo)

1:2. Where’s Jerry?: When Vi has to work at her second job at a bank, she enlists her best friend, Maya, to look after Jerry. But Maya has met a man at the park, and looses track of him. So she, with Rich, Rose, and Janet’s help, must look all over town to find him. (Guest Stars: The Ropers)

1:3. Janet and the Date: Vi and Maya try to convince a reluctant Janet to start dating, so she applies an ad in the paper. Luckily, she gets the ‘perfect’ match. Unluckily, it just happens to be Stanley Zbornak. But she won’t leave him, even after Rose informs her of his antics. Meanwhile, Rich tries to help Jerry with his school project. (Guest Star: Stan Zbornak)

1:4. Miss Maya’s Mommy: When learning of her mother’s visit, Maya asks for the help of the others. According to Mrs. Moreno, Maya is happily married and is a landlord with a maid and son.

1:5. Rose vs. Vi: Rose gets a job at the bank and outshines her cousin, causing a rivalry. Vicki suspects Marcus of cheating on her.

1:6. The So-Called Honeymooners Pt. 1: When Vicki and Marcus can’t seem to agree on anything, Rich convinces them to take a second honeymoon, which causes more trouble. Janet and Rose get caught up in Jerry’s new video game.

1:7. The So-Called Honeymooners Pt. 2: The gang tries to convince Marcus and Vicki not to break up.

1:8. Substitute Tornado: Rose embarrasses Jerry when she substitutes for his class. Rich causes trouble as Marcus's caddy in a golf tournament.

1:9. The Return of Claire: Jerry's mom, who has abandoned him, returns to take him back, but Vi protests. Marcus tries to drop his caffeine habit.

*If people like it, I'll start ASAP.

*I'll take any suggestions you may have.

*Sadly, many of the guest stars (Norman Fell, Audra Lindley, and Herb Edelman) have all died.
