Vampires: The Turning (2005) on DVD

The final installment of John Carpenter's Vampires series (he had no involvement w/ this one), features an American couple visiting Thailand where the girlfriend gets captured by a vampire gang.

The boyfriend teams up w/ another vampire group who refuse to drink human blood to get his girl back.

The film featured great muay-thai fight scenes, but overall it wasn't too great.

Beauty and the Beast (2017) on Blu-ray

A live adaptation of the 1991 Disney animated classic.

I liked how they went into some details on things not addressed in the animated film like what happened to Belle's mother and why the castle's staff were cursed and not only the Beast.

Amazing Special FX.

Burnt Offerings '76 (I've seen the film several times over the years, but finally got around to reading the book it's based on. The movie sticks fairly close until the ending, and I must say I agree with director Dan Curtis, the book doesn't have a good ending, almost a non-ending. I even went back and re read the ending of the book after the movie was over and I'm still not quite sure what happened to the Oliver Reed character and the son. The reveal of the Karen Black character at the end is better in the movie too.)

Three On A Meathook '72 (Four girls go on a romping weekend at a lake, and have car problems on the way home. A nice local boy takes them back to his farm, where he lives with his father. Something ghastly happens, but the father helps his son as he has in the past. When the boy meets a girl and begins falling in love, the father worries about a repeat performance.)
