Post Spin-Offs

Does anyone know why they did'nt make a spin-off of Richie Loves Loribeth of Fonzie Loves Ashley (or whoever his girl might have been, because Ashley left the show)like they did with Joanie and Chachi?

Also do you think Happy Days was good right where it ended or that it should have gone on another yr. or so? Why? By the way I also posted as Leather here and just wanted to use a different name this time.

I forgot to mention you know how I said Rodger was'nt all exactly like Richie to be his exact clone (its just my opnion) well K.C. was'nt exactly like Joanie either be to her clone. She was very nice but seemed a little more dumb and like a country girl. Joanie was more smarter, bright, and maybe a little more adventurous. Spike was an alright clone for Fonzie even though he was a little boy, but I like Fonzie was better at being himself The Fonz than Spike was. These are only my opnions. What does everyone else think of these clones for Fonzie, Richie, and Joanie? Oh, and Melvin Belvin was supposed to be a clone of Ralph Malph right? I think he seemed even dumber than Ralph. Who else had a clone in the show, anyone?

personally i don't like how the show abruptly ended, i think a couple of more episodes would have cleared up a couple of things(Chachi's tour,Danny, Potsie and Ralph)
all though i am glad that it ended when it did if it had gone on a couple of more seasons then the show would of had to deal with all of the turmoil of the late 60's vietnam, hippies, drugs,etc.... which would have taken away some of the innocence from the show.

In the FINAL episode,"Passages", where Joanie and Chachi get married, former regulars, such as RICHIE AND LORI BETH, and AL were there. Why couldn't they have POTSIE,and also, RALPH on hand for the FINALE episode, since RICHIE, POTSIE, and RALPH were the HAPPY DAYS ORIGINALS?

I agree about Potsie and Ralph being at the wedding. And I also would've liked to have known more about Chachi's tour...and where Danny came from. Was that ever discussed in prior episodes, or did he just magically appear in the finale? I did notice though that some "more adult" topics were brought up during the last season, like when Joanie was attacked by one of her students and then when another of her students was on drugs. (Come to think of it, they could've just combined the two episodes and made it so that the boy who attacked her was also on drugs...and then used the extra episode to explain Danny! LOL)

------------------
Mr. C - How are you going to support my daughter? How are you going to live? How are you going to eat?
Chachi - Mr. C, after we're married something is bound to come along.
Mr. C - Yeah, and then you'll have to feed that too!

One thing, too; the only episode you saw RALPH,since he came back from the army, was the FIRST PART of the episode, where he and Richie come home, but, he was nowhere in the conclusion of the episode, and POTSIE's appearances in the RICHIE-LESS episodes were more intermittent

As to whether the show could have gone on another season or so, I definitely believe it could have.

As for having to deal with things which would have deprived the show of its innocence (hippies, drugs, etc.), I'm pretty sure the writers would avoid them. "The Brady Bunch" never dealt with hippies (it pretty much ignored the outside world since there were no Vietnam references) and the closest it got to drugs was when Greg came home with a pack of cigarettes in his jacket.

true the brady bunch didn't deal with it but keep in mind that show was really about a bunch of little kids so there was no need to discuss those topics.plus that show took place in the early 70's and it was actually filmed in the 70's. Happy days at the end was about adults took place in the mid 60's but was filmed in the mid 80's the writers could actually get away with writing about that kind of stuff in the 80's but in the early 70's that was considered controversial for any television sitcom.
