Default Very obscure! Anybody remember Crash Island?

Remember when TV used to show pilot episodes of shows that weren't bought? I don't think they do that now. Remember in TV Guide listings it used to have listed after a show (This is a pilot of a series that was not picked up).

Around 1980 or 81 I remember seeing several times on TV a pilot for a show called Crash Island. Even as a 9 year old kid I could detect it was stupid! I think it had that Meeno Pulice (Punky's brother) from Voyagers in it. Anybody else remember this? I swear Meadowlark Lemon was in this.

Hi
I just found this site and this thread. I was searching sitcoms about Islands. I tried to look up Crash Island in my Prime Time sitcom book and it wasn't listed. Sorry I couldn't help. Maybe someone can help me. My island sitcom was a weird island, maybe polynesian? They had their own language and phrases. One went something like Be Bop a Loop (I know, I sound like I'm off my rocker). Possibly the early 80's or late 70's. I know I'm not crazy but can't remember an actor, station, night, year, except pretty much of what I told you. It seemed there were stranded people and they lived with the natives. Anybody???
Julie

I don't recall that at all. but there is a channel called TRIO that every so often shows pilots of shows that never made it. they also have this thing called Brilliant But Cancelled, they show programs/shows that were considered brilliant by the critics/audience but the ratings or whatever other reason was cancelled.
