Sometimes, I haven't been feeling like myself lately because I have not seen my friend, who is a teacher in a wicked long time.

I hope that something here might help a little:

Depression is a physical thing. If you feel like a lack of energy or positive outlook is keeping you from interacting with people, it might be a good idea to talk to a doctor. Doesn't need any kind of counseling or a specialist, any general practitioner can talk to you about how you're feeling and prescribe very commonly used drugs that can help elevate your mood.

A dog or cat might be a good idea if your living situation allows it. It's a not a full replacement for people, but they do provide constant contact and stave off loneliness. A dog also makes you get outdoors among people, and actually provides you with a little social group of people you see regularly. If you can't have your own pet, then shelters and rescues always need people to help take care of the animals in their care.

Oh No

I've been like that all this year, it doesn't help that my mom is gone...but now I have a "pastor" who has to change everything in one year... he's only been there for a year and already he's placed many pipe dreams!

I'm also thinking of moving since one of the tenants had the gall to tell the landlady on me...and on top of that, she's a cat lady! (I have nothing against people who own cats, but seriously)? And don't get me started with my brother and his ex!

I personally wouldn't go down that route, but each one to his own. I have found ginseng very good. Having a pet might be a good idea, but if you're out all day at work best not buy a dog.

Looking at your post history I can tell you are a big fan of Unsolved Mysteries. Try finding a girl who is also a fan, you would start off with common ground there.

Good advice Alan Brady's hair and Catsrule! IDK if you are religious? I find going to Church to be very peaceful, and puts me in a good state of mind! I wis I had the time to go more! But my suggestion is if you are religious, try going to Church and maybe joining in some parish activities. I think you might be able to meet a nice girl that way!

Good luck to you. Sorry you are feeling so down!

I'm a single guy too, but there are advantages to being single and that's what I choose to focus on rather than be sad and depressed about it. I am open to getting acquainted with someone, any attractive single ladies here who are looking for a boyfriend, send me a PM if you're interested, I'm accepting applications.

LOL, my door is open for you Bonnie, but you'd have to get divorced first and get over your Michael Lembeck obsession, then we'd be good to go.

Bonnie would never do that. You know how much she loves her Michael.

Maybe you're right. How about you? Judging by your posts here, you seem like a nice person. I'm 56 so you might think I'm a little old for you, although I look younger than my age.

I'm not in a relationship yet unfortunately.
