Ans speaking of Ford N's, here's a 1950 Ford 8N-Series tractor with a lawn mower added underneath.

Although this looks like an American Ford, it's actually an Australian one. A 1966 Ford Galaxie Ambulance from Victoria.

Now for some Canadian Fords... well Mercury's if you will. Mercury M-Series and one Mercury Econoline Pickups from the 1960's.

Interesting! Mercury-brand trucks were sold in Canada - long before the Mountaineer?

Yup. Somewhere I have an unfinished drawing of what I think the Mercury Mountaineer would've looked like if it had been made since the 1960's. As you can probably guess, it would've been Bronco-based.

Well, id rather have my car than an oversized gas-guzzling ugly piece of lousy-handling, enviroment-destroying Detroit crap, but, we all have our own tastes, right?

Other than adding Super-Duty pickup grilles, I suppose not. But at least they didn't uglify it the way they did with the Ford Taurus in 1996.

Well, the 96 Taurus would certainly not be ugly to a catfish

Have you seen the 2008 Taurus? Pretty nice, if a bit chunky.....strangely, the front grille resembles the old Tempo, a lower priced car!

Oversized? They were only 197" long. My compact '66 Dodge Dart was 196.3" long.

gas-guzzling
That doesn't stop people from buying good examples for $15,000 or $20,000. Also, most are driven only once every one or two weeks, usually to car shows, so gas mileage doesn't matter. As the saying goes, "Gas mileage should not prevent you from driving what you really want to drive."

Ugly? Take another look at today's blob- or egg-shaped "cars," with those ridiculous bug-eyed headlights and the plastic bumpers and fenders and the lack of real chrome and whitewall tires.

Actually, they did quite well for normal handling and even non-ordinary handling. (One of my friends owned a '66 390 Fairlane.)

enviroment-destroying Detroit crap,
Lol. I'll be sure to repeat that comment to the cars guys I see every Friday night at the car gathering. A lot of them own 12- and 11- second cars (1/4 mile) which can blow away a lot of the European and Japanese crap.
And with the average '66 classic car being driven 2,000 miles or less per year, their contribution to "destroying the enviornment" is very, very little.

but, we all have our own tastes, right?
Right. I like cars when they looked like cars. Not the blobmobiles of today.

A '66 Fairlane... a normal-looking car (and the 390 engine, with 427 lbs-ft torque doesn't hurt, either).
