"Mockingbird Lane" Concept Art Released
TV: "Munsters" Reboot "Mockingbird Lane" Gets Some Interesting Concept Art
Posted by EvanDickson April 12, 2012 Finally some tangible imagery is oozing out of "Mockingbird Lane", NBC’s high concept series reboot of "The Munsters". The pilot, written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer, is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about a family of “monsters” – vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein and their “plain” cousin (Wakefield) — with striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy "Pushing Daisies". Entertainment Weekly landed the image which features a nice mockup of the Munsters’ house as well as a decent peek at Eddie Izzard as “Grandpa”. http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/22...g-concept-art/ |

Umm...no thanks; I think I'll be sticking to the original Munsters.

Maybe it's Grandpa's magical disguises to fool the neighbors but they actually look like the traditional Munsters and Universal monsters when noone outside the family is around? I'm reaching here if they want to save this.

What do people think of the casting of Eddie Izzard as 'Grandpa' for Mockingbird Lane? Personally I find his acting style a bit too over-the-top and I'm fairly sceptical about what his portrayal will be like.

I don't think I've seen anything Eddie Izzard has done.
