Does anyone remember the 1981 sitcom Maggie? It ran for eight episodes on ABC and starred Miriam Flynn and Doris Roberts. I've been looking for it for years. If anyone has it, please private message me.

I remember it--it also had Christian Jacobs, who later played Joey Stivic on "Gloria" and is today one of the creative forces behind "Yo Gabba Gabba"
![]() It was created by humorist Erma Bombeck. |

I remember it. I only watched the first episode. I didn't think it was that bad.I don't remember why I didn't continue to watch it though. It was probably opposite another show I liked.

I remember seeing this sitcom at least once. To fill out the rest of the cast, James Hampton played Maggie's husband and Billy Jacoby her older son. It was set in Dayton, where Erma Bombeck lived before spending the rest of her life living in Arizona.

1981--what a sad time for sitcoms--I sorta liked Maggie and felt sorry for Erma Bombeck when it was the first one cancelled. I also watched Open All Night or was it Up All Night with the skinny guy and George Dzundza (sp)
1981 was my WTH happened year!! |

That was Open All Night, a US version of the Britcom Open All Hours. Speaking of the skinny guy, Sam Whipple--I never did see him in anything else.

Was this sitcom the one that starred the daughter from 'European Vacation?'

which BTW was another US Britcom adaptation--from "Two's Company" I also enjoyed it very much and wouldn't mind if this ever popped up in reruns. |
