the Unsolved Mysteries episode or some other show profiling his case? I'm not sure I get that channel but I'll look.

If you don't get ID, get it now! Their show "Disappeared" is the closest thing we have to UM today. I am not sure what show this case is going to be featured on, but ID does have a number of good true crime shows.

FBI: Criminal Pursuit on the ID network tonight at 10pm eastern time. The episode is called "The Undertaker" and will be about Marvin Gabrion's murder of Rachel Timmerman, her missing daughter, and how Gabrion's associates all went missing, presumed killed by Gabrion.

Watched this, hadn't remembered specific details from the UM segment.
Reminded me of how effed up this guy is, probably the most gruesome murder tied only with Oba Chandler. Its sickening that Marvin contacted the family saying he's doesn't care, and that they will have to live the rest of their life picturing him dumping her live body, with her breath bubbles coming to the surface. If she was my family, he would be lucky he's locked up because I would inflict a worse fate to him. |

I watched it. It was sad to see what a troubled life Rachel had led and how she was trying to pick up the pieces and move on when she was murdered. Not sure if UM mentioned this but she was put in the water alive.
I don't think any of us really figured baby Shannon was alive much longer than her mother. Gabrion did write letters to Rachel's family from prison taunting them. The FBI encouraged the family to write back hoping he would slip up about some details. He told Shannon's grandmother he was certain Shannon wasn't in the water and she seemed to believe him. However when some fellow inmates harassed him about the baby and what did he do to her and how she never did anything to him he said he couldn't keep the baby and threw her in the water. Unfortunately I think that part is true.Another thing that sort of surprised me is that one of the men in the car the night Rachel was raped was actually the one that paid Gabrion's bail! His body was found eventually and its believed Gabrion killed him since he was a witness to the crime. I do believe UM mentioned this but the man who helped lure Rachel on that fateful 'date' is also presumed dead and killed by Gabrion (as well as a skid row transient who went missing and Gabrion continued to cash his social security checks). His picture from UM is etched in my memory...pretty scary. |

Yeah the photo of Robert Allen is probably one of the creepiest still photos I have ever seen. Picture a clown with no make up. Scary stuff, perhaps not scary enough for Gabrion to schmooze and murder. So glad this guy got life no parole. I suppose his death sentence got commuted because there wasn't enough hard evidence? Only circumstantial? This is a guy that even the hardened criminals in prison lack respect for.
