Default What Bill Cosby thought of Roseanne in 1989?

It look like Bill Cosby actually might of like one show:
I found this this article from 1989: http://pqasb.pqarchiver.com/USAToday...y&pqatl=google

No. 2 to `Roseanne'? OK by Cosby
[FINAL Edition]
USA TODAY (pre-1997 Fulltext) - McLean, Va.
Author: Larry King
Date: Apr 24, 1989
Start Page: 02.D
Section: LIFE
Text Word Count: 637
Abstract (Document Summary)
Wow, it's Monday again already. ... Bill Cosby on Roseanne Barr: ``I think she's great and I think her show deserves all the success it's gotten. It's been No. 1 for lots of the same reasons our show was on top for nearly four years. The parental model wins. The elders are victors over the minors, which is the way it should be.''

I asked Bill about being No. 2 in the weekly ratings. ``That really doesn't bother me. If you'd have asked me five years ago whether or not I thought all of this would have happened, I would have been floored at what did happen. Our show is still strong. Since when is No. 2 bad, after all that time as No. 1? In fact, and I say this modestly, I think our show has never been better. I think our sixth season next fall is going to be the best ever, scriptwise. I'll ride No. 2 for a long time if that's OK. No. 2 ain't bad in this game, Larry.''

The Larry King Show is heard nightly on 326 radio stations via the Mutual Radio Network. Larry King Live! can be seen nightly on Cable News Network. CUTLINE:COSBY: Thinks Barr's show and his show have plenty in common besides big ratings

Bill was very noble to say what he said. It panned out well anyway. He tied with Roseanne for first place the next season and still was number one overall for the year/season this interview came out.

Roseanne was produced by the same people that produced TCS. I'm sure that had nothing to do with it. lol
