Since I was the one who said she should just shut up and sing, I'll assume you meant that for me, and inform you that you're dead wrong. I don't want to be preached to about any performer's politics. It's not why I go to their concerts, watch their movies, tv shows, etc. I don't want to hear liberals or conservatives giving lectures on politics, reason being is I simply don't give a rat's ass about their opinions.

I agree with you Mila!!

Yes, I used your quote from this thread but you're not the only one I've seen say this. So it was meant for everyone. The point I was making here is that she wasn't even preaching about Obama here. She was saying that young people need to be more informed by reading and make up their own mind and vote. It seems her message was lost on almost everyone because she's an Obama supporter, though.

I don't understand why a celebrity can't talk about politics without being verbally attacked by people. If they did it during their show or movie and started telling us who we should vote for then I'd understand but they're people with opinions and should be able to say what they think without all the hate.

Kunis is an incredibly wealthy professional pretender. Emotions, a big ego, and self gratification run dominant in a town where, if you're a big star, you don't have to worry about your next paycheck, or get paid (if you are fortunate to even have a job) a few hundred dollars a week for stress-filled, demanding, manual labor (as opposed to getting tens, thousands, or millions of dollars) to read lines in a microphone for Family Guy, collect very lucrative residuals for That 70's Show, and make millions upon millions for numerous films.

The point is, Ms. Kunis is ill informed as she lives within her own "bubble," shielded from the worries, cares, concerns, and anxieties that the rest of the country has to deal with as a consequence to her vote. While she might be a nice person, she was duped into voting for someone who aroused her emotions. Yet positive emotions can blanket harsh and negative realities, especially when they do not work for those who are less fortunate than those who can afford to be stimulated by their emotions.

You don't know this person, you don't understand their life, their views, or their personality. You just know one aspect about them and immediately slap them with a label.

Well, first off, she's quoted as saying "They don't read books, they don't read the paper, they don't read the news. So obviously you are incredibly ill-informed to the point where they will go do these tests in Middle America... And they'll ask, 'Ok, what party are you?' And they'll say, 'Republican'. 'Why?' And they can't even tell you. They have no idea what the Republican Party stands for. "

Really, Mila? It's Republicans who can't tell you why they believe what they believe? Obama goes around saying "hope and change" and she votes for him. Yeah, that took a whole lot of thought.

Does she know that the Democrat party stood for slavery and segregation? Because they did. The KKK? Wonder if she knows who Robert Byrd was?

Then she says "... I can tell you why I voted for him (Obama), what I agreed and disagreed with him on, for hours... "

Hours? Really? In what area did she disagree with Obama, hope or change? Because that's ALL there was. That's what Obama's entire campaign was. And she bought it. Just like millions of the people she's complaining about bought it.

She's not an idiot because she belongs to a different political party than I do. She's an idiot because she's just another mindless celebrity, regardless of party affiliation.

Liberals are not difficult to understand because liberalism is based entirely on emotion, not thought.

Isn't this article about her views? As for her personality, that's actually totally irrelevant to me. When I'm politically critical of a public figure, it's based on substance, not on personality.

You are correct that I don't "know" her. How many people out there actually "know" Sarah Palin? Yet, there's a lot of criticism flying around about her, is there not? So now, some bubble-headed air head from Hollywood comes out criticizing people that SHE doesn't know, and we're not allowed to respond?
