In 2006 they released Get Smart: The Complete Series.
In 2007 they released The Man from UNCLE: The Complete Series. In 2008 they released The Real Ghostbusters: The Complete Series. What do you think they will release in 2009? Also, I've noticed something about all three shows. They all have "baggage." Get Smart not only had five seasons, but they had two movies (The Nude Bomb, Get Smart Again) and a follow-up series (Get Smart). The Man from UNCLE had a spin-off (The Girl from UNCLE), a few theatrical movies and a reunion movie. The Real Ghostbusters had a follow-up series (The Extreme Ghostbusters). None of this "baggage" I mentioned made it on the Time-Life DVDs, however, all the Get Smart stuff came out through Sony. One of the UNCLE movies was included in the set and the reunion eventually came to DVD.

The Wonder Years would be fantastic, if they could obtain all the music rites, which is why this series is held up for release. Its such a shame music clearances are so expensive. I have no interest in the Happy Days dvd releases until they restore the original tunes! Happy Days, Time Life???
By the way, wasn't Time Life originally releasing The Odd Couple? It ended up in Paramounts' hands, all chopped up! |

Um, did I miss it? It's November and not an announcement for this year. Is Time-Life quitting the complete series sets a year thing? I hope not!
I want another complete series set from Time-Life!!! |

Considering the spy theme of two of the last three series Time Life released it would make sense if their next series was "I Spy" starring Bill Cosby and Robert Culp.

I've personally never seen the show or sets, but all three seasons were relased by Image Entertainment and some episodes contain commentary from Robert Culp.

Yeah, I own all three seasons. They were all released on the same day, but of course I had to order them online because it seems that rare titles like that are hard to find in stores. At least at the stores I go to. |

My personal favorite --
(it's not a sitcom, but not like it's gonna happen anyway. Warner Bros. is CLUELESS on how to market the show) KNOTS LANDING: THE COMPLETE SERIES MEGA SET * All 344 episodes (orginal broadcast versions NOT syndicated cuts) on 43 dual-layer discs or 86 single-layer discs * Option to watch the 60 second recap of the prior episode that was shown in syndication * Audio Commentaries on key episodes with cast members and series creator, David Jacobs * Deleted Scenes * Network Promos Bonus Material - Disc 1 * The DALLAS episode "Return Engagement" (Gary & Val's 2nd wedding) * THE KNOTS LANDING BLOCK PARTY - Series Finale Retrospective * Michele Lee's appearance on THE JOAN RIVERS SHOW to promote the series finale * Michele Lee, Ted Shackelford, & Joan Van Ark on THE ARSENIO HALL SHOW to promote the series finale * The Museum of Television & Broadcast Radio's KNOTS LANDING Panel Discussion * KNOTS LANDING: BACK TO THE CUL-DE-SAC - Reunion Miniseries * KNOTS LANDING REUNION: TOGETHER AGAIN (2005) Bonus Material - Disc 2 * "Intimate Portrait" - Michele Lee * "Intimate Portrait" - Donna Mills * "Intimate Portrait" - Joan Van Ark * "Intimate Portrait" - Michelle Phillips * KNOTS LANDING: SUBURBAN SAGA - an all-new documentary about the conceptualization of the series all the way through its 14-year run and its cultural impact 30+ years after its debut (the docu would be "segmented" in parts relating to each season and included on the final disc of each season) |
