Once Kate Jackson left, it was never the same. By this point, Jaclyn Smith was the only original angel left and as I recall, Shelley Hack didn't leave much of an impression with me back then.

The original angels should have went the distance together, but Farrah left too early because of a bad manager's advice and ego stroking and Kate -- well, I don't remember why Kate left, but it would be a while before either one of them had success again on TV.

I think Farrah also left the show because her then-husband, Lee Majors, wanted her to.

That's probably true too, Monika. She was badly advised to leave after one season and pursue theatrical features. Then, Farrah's first movie bombed and it would be a while before her career recovered and she was back on the small screen.

I think you're right. I think the only major big-screen success she had was Logan's Run (and that was pre-Angels), and she only had a small role in that one. I guess she just wasn't meant to be a movie star.

Apparently not, but she did carve a niche for herself on TV again with The Burning Bed and a couple of aborted attempts at sitcoms (the names of which escape me) and her career recovered to some degree, but for a while it looked as though Farrah had cursed herself by leaving Charlie's Angels too soon.

I wish she and Kate Jackson had never left. Once Kate was gone, the show was just a revolving door for actresses of varying talent and it wasn't the same for me.

One of those sitcoms was called Good Sports, with Ryan O'Neal. Kate did go on to further success from 1983-87 on Scarecrow & Mrs. King - I think it could've gone on longer but that's when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. All the ladies went on to success with made for TV movies - remember when network TV used to air them???

Idk it's hard for me to warm up to new faces. I'm cool with the new angels but once Kate left it was just not the same for me. I have to say I enjoy seasons 1-3 the best. Not an insult to Shelley or Tanya, it's just the way I feel.

Nothing wrong with feeling that way, Ramona. I can't pick a favorite season - I liked them all.
