Rod Roddy Died One Year Ago Today - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It was one year ago today, Rod Roddy died.

He was the announcer on "Soap" before he does game shows like "Batllestars", "Hit Man", "Love Connection", "Press Your Luck" and "The Price Is Right". I was posting it on the game show board that I found two airchecks with Rod Roddy as a disc jockey at Pittsburgh's KQV for a short time in 1960. Here are two clips in memory of Rod Roddy:

I loved Rod Roddy - his announcements had me

each time. Of course, no one could yell "COME ON DOWN!" like he did on The Price is Right.
